Our Angel Fund
Bent Tree Animal Hospital's Angel Fund was founded in
2003 to help stray and abandoned animals receive proper medical attention. Whether they needed nursing care or vaccinations we have been able to provide discounted medical services to over 80 cats and dogs over the last 5 years. Since its inception, we have assisted family pets that needed extensive medical care and owners who were forced to face the difficult decision of euthanasia, due to hard times and tight budgets. Fortunately, our angel fund has been able to help many of these clients avoid that decision, and allowed them to receive the medical care needed to nurse their beloved pets back to health. Today we ask for your help in replenishing this fund in order to continue to provide financial assistance to sick pets and stray or abandoned animals that come our way.
Here are two precious stories of pets we have saved over the last 5 years.
Meow Meow is a female orange tabby cat brought into our hospital by a good samaritan. Upon arrival to our hospital, Meow Meow was found to have extreme trauma to her tail. Most of her tail was missing and she was left with exposed skin and bleeding. Left in the wild, she had great chance of infection and little chance of survival. After amputation of the remaining of her tail, Meow Meow spent several weeks in our hospital recovering from surgery. Her good samaritan continued to visit and monitor her progress. With the help of the Angel Fund, Meow Meow's life was saved and she was given the chance to find a family. After a lot of loving, attentive care and a full recovery, the good samaritan helped Bent Tree Animal Hospital, P.A.
find Meow Meow a great home.
Bullseye is a male australian shepherd mix abandoned at our hospital as a puppy. When the staff arrived at Bent Tree Animal Hospital, P.A. one March morning, Bullseye and his brother were roaming the backyard of the hospital. Only 12 weeks old, Bullseye had severe skin problems, weight loss and hair loss. After attentive medical care, Bullseye began to gain weight and was diagnosed with a food allergy which had been causing the hair loss and skin problems. During his visit, Bullseye was potty trained, leash trained and taught to fetch, drop and sit. Bullseye was adopted out to a great family and is adjusting well to his new home.
These are just a couple of the animals that have benefited from the charitable donations made by you and your family. Thank you for your continued support in helping us take care of our precious pets that help bring laughter and joy to our lives every day.
Annu al Food Drive
The holiday season is a time for giving and at Bent Tree Animal Hospital we help by hosting an Annual Food Drive benefiting the Metrocrest Food Services program of Carrollton, Texas. Donations are taken from November 1st - January 2nd and are donated in full to charity. All donations are accepted including people food, pet food and supplies and cash. The cash collected is used to purchase perishable items closer to the holiday, such as turkeys, hams, etc. We invite you to join us in helping our community by participating in this rewarding event.
